Rehabilitation Services

Introduction

PERKESO Rehabilitation Services encompass the provision of various support tools to assist Insured Persons suffering from injuries, illnesses, or physical disabilities. The primary goal of these services is to support the recovery process and enhance or maintain an individual's physical function, allowing them to perform daily activities comfortably and independently.

These rehabilitation aids include a wide range of equipment, such as mobility aids, limb support devices (prosthetics and orthotics), and implants. The provision of these tools is typically based on clinical assessments by medical officers or rehabilitation specialists to ensure they are suitable and effective for the patient.

Eligilibity

The eligibility of an Insured Person to receive rehabilitation aids is subject to claim approval under the relevant acts. It must also be supported by a recommendation from the treating doctor, confirming that the rehabilitation aid is necessary for a diagnosis resulting from the injury or illness that forms the basis of the PERKESO claim.

INSPIRE, an acronym for Integrated System for Prosthetic & Orthotic Inventory and Rehabilitation, is a system developed to manage the delivery of PERKESO services in an integrated manner. This system covers the management of rehabilitation services, such as medical implants and equipment, in addition to managing dialysis services under PERKESO’s dialysis centers and panels.

The INSPIRE DR module allows treating doctors to apply for implants, rehabilitation item, and required rehabilitation services based on clinical indications for eligible Insured Persons.
