Non-Employment Injury Scheme (LINDUNG 24 JAM)

LINDUNG 24 Jam is introduced to provide round-the-clock protection for eligible employees throughout their employment period, including coverage for accidents that occur outside working hours and are not directly related to their job or duties.

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive protection for accidents not related to employment
  • 24-hour coverage for employees
  • Cost of medical treatment financed by PERKESO

Definition of Non-Employment Injury:

“Non-employment injury” means a personal injury to the employee caused by accident not arising out of and in the course of his employment in an industry to which this Act applies and shall not include any circumstances specified in section 96B.

Contribution Rate:

Contributions are fully borne by employees. Employee contribution rates will be implemented in phases:

  • 0.75% for the first two years (Phase 1),
  • 1.0% for the next three years (Phase 2),
  • 1.25% from the sixth year onwards (Phase 3)

Type of Contribution:

  • It is no longer compulsary for local employees. Instead, participation is voluntary, and the contributions are fully borne by the employees. However, it remains mandatory for foreign workers in accordance with existing legal provisions.
  • Employers shall pay contributions on behalf of employees for as long as the employee remains employed with them.

Excluded Cases:

  • Accidents happening outside the territory of Malaysia
  • Insured Persons (OB) who are foreign workers that misuse valid passes or permits issued by the Director General of Immigration or violate any conditions of entry under the Immigration Act 1959 / 63 [Act 155].
  • Self-employment injuries under Act 789.
  • Domestic injuries under Act 838.
  • Conditions caused by any illness such as diabetes, fever, high blood pressure, and others.

(吉隆坡3日讯)社险机构(PERKESO)推出的24小时社会保障计划(Lindung 24 Jam)生效仅一个月,已接获592宗申请,并向受保人发放超过120万令吉补贴,显示工作时间以外意外事故的社会保障需求庞大。 社险机构今日发文告指出,在首个月内,24小时社会保障计划下最高额的补贴支付,主要涉及植入物(Inplant)费用,金额达116万令吉;其次是暂时丧失工作能力补贴(FHUS),共发放9万9269令吉。
